The project, led by the Government of Canary Islands, has been developed with the collaboration of the Canary Island's Cluster on Transport and Logistics and Consulta Europa. Besides the Canary Islands' cluster, the other clusters participating are from Bremen (Germany), Calabria (Italy), Ruse (Bulgaria) and Marmara region (Tureky). The project will last 36 months and will receive from the European Commission more than €1,5 Million.

STARTENT Project Kicks Off
The STARTENT Project "Fostering Business-University Partnerships for Entrepreneurship Education in Europe" had its kick-off meeting on 12-14 January 2010 in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to developing the entrepreneurial culture of young people, and to improving entrepreneurship education in Europe. The project will establish collaboration between entrepreneurship educators and related practitioners, promote entrepreneurship among young people through a set of awareness raising activities, and develop innovative and practice-based teaching material for higher education based on case studies and student-inclusive classroom activities.
Consulta Europa assists the STARTENT consortium in effectively implementing the project and reaching its expected outcomes and impact. Various forums on entrepreneurship education has been launched on the LinkedIn online platform, allowing discussions and knowledge-sharing among businesses and academia and other stakeholders of entrepreneurship education in Europe.

CONSULTA EUROPA LAUNCHES "EU FUNDS" ON LINKEDIN
In an aim to provide information on European Union funding opportunities, related programmes and EC funded projects to all organisations and individuals within and outside the EU, Consulta Europa launched a group on the LinkedIn online professional networking platform. The group has reached over 100 members in less than one month, and continues to expand to include all those organisations and individuals, who would like to know more about EU funding opportunities and participate in EC funded programmes and projects.

CONSULTA EUROPA AT THE RESEARCH CONNECTION 2009
At the European Commission's major research event that took place on 7-8 May in Prague with over 1300 participants, Consulta Europa organised a forum on EU Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) programmes. The Forum provided the participants with practical tips on participation in EU RTDI programmes and projects.
