Trainee - EU Project Management

Consulta Europa is looking for a trainee to assist the Project Manager for a minimum duration of 6 months.

The ideal candidate should:
• Be based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
• Hold a University degree
• Be a native Spanish speaker
• Have excellent command of English
• Have very good drafting and reporting skills
• Be proficient in using Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Have some background knowledge on EC funded projects and EU programmes
• Be flexible and have a strong ability to self-organize

The trainee will be assisting the Project Manager in:
- Communication activities (e.g. Preparing a newsletter)
- Developing project proposals
- Managing projects
- Marketing (e.g. Updating the company website and searching for potential project partners)

During the training period, the trainee will gain valuable insight into the EU funding system, its rules and procedures, and hands-on experience in EC project development and management in an international context.

The deadline for submitting CVs is 30 March 2010. The interviews will take place between 15 and 30 April. The traineeship is expected to start in May.
